An interesting place. Agree $20 entry fee a little over the top, but the $2 charge for the 110 metre forest slide is a bargain and a great ride, regardless of your age. Found the swamp interesting and the information boards educational. The 1600 metres of boardwalks takes about an hour to navigate. Although we saw pademelons we did not see any Tasmanian devils.

In a group of 4 we arrived early. Firstly the loos are fab. Modern, and loos with a view!! We decided not to go down the slide after much deliberation. There was lots of ash in the air, and we were told it might be a slow ride down. So we headed down the path leading to the bottom. A great walk, and very impressed with the maintenance of the trails.

This is truely a once in a lifetime experience here! The slide is 110 metres long and it takes about 15 second to reach the bottom which is in the largest sinkhole in the southern hemisphere! 624 hectares in area or 1540 acres, 40 metres deep and we have 1.6 K of boardwalk in the swamp giving you a close up look at something you wouldn't normaly be able to access! Come and have some adventure!

Built over a giant sink hole these are very good facilities and adventure activities - start with going down a giant slide to the forrest floor to explore the area and then climbing back up to have a well earn coffee and snack. It for the fit ones.

Loved the walk, very educational as well as a peaceful walk through this fascinatingly old forest. One comment I would make is that it needs a bit of maintenance. We had to pick up a few of the sign post to read them as they had rusted out at the bottom and fallen off the path. And the artwork has seen better days: needs a bit of TLC, apart from that we spent a couple hours in the serenity ☺️

We belong to a Field Nat. group so spend a lot of time in this type of environment. However we enjoyed it, and with our little knowledge of plants etc we found lots of interesting things. I think this is a wonderful and safe way for people who want to enjoy the beautiful Australian bush. We watched a few coming down the slide and they loved it. So all in all a lovely day out. Just one tiny comment. We have read all the reviews and didn't know what to expect re staff etc. However we went with open minds & really just took care of ourselves, so had little interaction.
